Princeton Public Library’s New 2nd Floor

Time: April 12, 7:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Where: Princeton Public Library

Cost: Free

Description: Organized by Princeton Macintosh Users Group, Princeton Public Library will be holding a preview of the second floor renovation to be initiated later in the spring, which includes a technology instruction area, resource hub, and new organization of the library’s collections.  This preview will be led by Assistant Director Erica Bess and Head of Adult Services Janet Hauge of the Princeton Public Library.

‘pARTy’

Time: April 30, 6:00 p.m.–10:00 pm

Where: Windsor Athletic Club

Cost: $50

Description: Sponsored by the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and Trenton Community A-team, “pARTy” is a celebration of art, cuisine, and live entertainment. There will be samples of foods and beverages from a variety of restaurants, live music and entertainment, and samples of art from local artists. This social event is part of the inaugural festival for the two societies.

Library Live at Labyrinth Book

Time: April 13, 6:00p.m.–7:00 p.m.

Where: Labyrinth Books

Cost: Free

Description: Deborah Yaffe will be concluding the Library Live at Labyrinth series with a presentation concerning her projects and works on Jane Austen’s literature. She will be signing copies of Among the Janeites: A Journey Through the World of Jane Austen Fandom after her talk “Rewriting Pride and Prejudice,” a project launched by HarperCollins containing a series of six novels by bestselling authors.

Paul Lewis Piano Performance

Time: April 7, 8 p.m.

Where: Richardson Auditorium at Alexander Hall

Cost: $15 at the door for non-Princeton University students

Description: Pianist Paul Lewis, who performed at Richardson Auditorium last year, is returning with a collection of mid-Romantic masterworks. Some of his anticipated pieces include Brahms’ Four Ballades, Op. 10 and Liszt’s Après une Lecture du Dante: Fantasia quasi Sonata. An hour before the concert, there will be a pre-concert event free of charge to audience members.
